Ryan Seacrest and Kris Jenner got emotional saying goodbye to Keeping Up With the Kardashians on Wednesday, September 9. The duo connected on-air one day after the famous family made the headline-breaking announcement that theyβll be bidding adieu to the series after 14 years.
Seacrest assisted in the creation of Keeping Up With the Kardashians back in 2007 via his production company, Ryan Seacrest Productions.
βYouβre going to make me cry all over again,β Kris shared with Seacrest on-air. βIt really hasnβt [sunk in yet].β
The duo reminisced on how the iconic reality TV show, which forever changed entertainment, came about and how it all boils down to a seven-minute long video from a family BBQ.
βI got very, very emotional this morning,β Kris admitted. βI woke up and was in the gym at 5 with KhloΓ© and Kim and we just kind of sat there and looked at each other and said, βWhoa, what a ride.ββ
The matriarch shared theyβre βcoming from a place of such gratitudeβ and that theyβre forever grateful for βevery single momentβ and, not to mention, being βleft with the best home movies weβll ever be able to produce.β
So how did they decide to make the decision to end the series?
βThatβs a really good question,β Kris said. βI think the number 20 used to sound good until 2020, but the number 20 just seemed like the right time I think for us to take a minute and breathe and everybody slow down a bit; β¦ figure out what our next steps are,β Kris added. βWeβve had such an amazing run and weβre so grateful β¦ for every single moment and everyone we work with.β
As for who is taking the decision the hardest, Kris shared itβs KhloΓ©.
βWe had to tell the crew yesterday, so we were all crying, but I think KhloΓ©,β she shared. β[KhloΓ©] is the one who is taking it the hardest and hasnβt stopped crying since we announced. β¦ Itβs been a hard decision; Iβm not going to lie. Itβs been very emotional.β
