Moving from Hollywood to rural Utah isn't a common move for a rapper or rock star, but Post Malone did just that a couple of years ago without much explanation until now.
Post Malone shared with Joe Rogan the move came after he booked a show there that was expected to have 5,000 fans but 17,000 showed up. The number of people forced them to move it outside onto the Salt Flats and it was so magical he took it as a sign and bought a house soon after.
"I couldn’t do LA," he admitted. "It’s a lot for me and I couldn’t focus the way I needed to. Before COVID, there was always something going on. Interviews; parties; it never ended. And being in Utah, it’s so peaceful and I get to focus on the music and wake up to the mountain."
Post is also taking the time with his schedule slowed down to work hard at home on his next album. Until then, his latest album Hollywood's Bleeding is out now.
