Yungblud crashed onto the music scene in 2018 with his unique blend of pop, punk, rock and hip hop all infused into his debut album 21st Century Liability and while fans can expect his next album to be just as distinctive, it'll be nothing like his first.
“The truth is, I’m not angry anymore," he told Kerrang! "And that’s not to say that the new album is me going soft, because there are some ragers on there, but it’s a record of optimism. It’s an uncensored version of my life: it talks about liberation in terms of my sexuality, identity and mental health as well as love, heartbreak, depression," he added. "I want it to be naïve and full of contradictions. It’s telling the listener what life is truly about. Rebelling against the idea that speaking our minds is wrong.”
Yungblud’s record will drop later this year.
