The holidays are a time for cheer — and lotsa food! As fans of the show know, Ryan Seacrest loves to cook up a plethora of dishes for Christmas dinner with his family — paella, you name it! But this year he shared with Sisanie and Tanya Rad that he wants to switch it up.
But, don’t worry, those Seacrest family sausage balls are here to stay.
“I said, ‘I’m kind of bored with our traditional Christmas meal that I’ve had ever year of my life,’” Seacrest shared on-air, revealing he broke the news to his mom, Connie. “It’s definitely fun to incorporate other foods from around the world for Christmas Day for me.”
Seacrest, whose birthday is Christmas Eve, wants to add items like enchiladas and tamales and make them with healthier ingredients like sweet potato.
“Sausage balls are Christmas morning,” he reassured Tanya when the mention of switching up tradition came up. “… We do Christmas afternoon. You know I like to start the meal at 3:30 pm. … We will do the fondue on Christmas Eve and then we will wake up and make sausage rolled up with Bisquick and cheese and put them on a cookie sheet in the oven — they’re so good.”
