Have you ever taken a digital detox? Sisanie shared on-air on Thursday, August 22, you can now pay to take โdigital detox vacationsโ and honestly it sounds like a great idea.
A recent story in the Wall Street Journal shared that resorts and hotels are now offering tech-free stays for guests to unplug and detach from the confines of their phones and computers. While the author behind the article, โHow to Break Up With Your Phone,โ thinks itโs nuts to pay money to disconnect, Ryan and Sis beg to differ.ย
โItโs this concept called digital detox vacations,โ Sis explained on-air. โWe always pay extra for great WiFi โฆ so now you basically would pay to not have WiFi,โ she added, explaining thereโs a spot near us in California in Big Sur called Treebones Resort. โโฆYouโre paying for the experience,โ Sisanie added. โSo this is like โglampingโ and itโs very off the grid, off the internet, no service really in general, [like],ย your phone will not work. โฆ Itโs meant โฆ to not have any technology whatsoever and to be present in your vacation.โย
