Would you ever?! In the latest viral story, a man texted his ex-girlfriend the night before his wedding to thank her for their past relationship and “teaching him how to love.”
According to the text, his fiancée was aware he was sending the message, and he wanted to express his gratitude for their time together.
“Thank you for being my first love," the message reads. "If you haven't already I hope you one day find love. If you loved me that much when we were young I can only imagine how strong and powerful your love is now." The text goes on to conclude: "My point in all of this is, you are the reason why I know how to love someone."
Naturally, the internet is torn over their feelings for the sweet but also slightly inappropriate feeling note.
“I personally would be weirded out if [my husband] Michael told me he wants to text his first love the night before our wedding,” Sisanie shared on-air after reading the text. “Like, what do you get out of it?”
Ryan actually appreciates the notion and considered it the perfect “thank you, next.”
“Maybe the timing is off, but I don’t mind the notion of it,” Ryan weighed in. “It’s like ‘Thank you for making me better; I’m sure you’re great; I’m so at peace and confident and happy … thank you, next.’ … Actually, I see this as to be the most secure move one can make … you’re both very secure [if you can send this].”
