Eva Longoria Is All Moms When It Comes to Social Media: Find Out Why

Eva Longoria Bastón is all of us. The actress turned female empowerment activist phoned into On Air With Ryan Seacrest ahead of her annual Women’s Empowerment Luncheon & Speakers Panel on Thursday, May 9, and gushed over becoming a mom. The former Desperate Housewives star welcomed son Santiago with husband José Bastón this past June.

“He’s taken over my Instagram,” Eva gushed to Ryan Seacrest on-air. “It’s so funny because we had this conversation, I was like, ‘I’m not going to post so much because I want it to be private.’ And then everyday I’m like, ‘I got to post this! It’s so cute!' … I just can’t help it,” Eva added. “Also, it’s how my family stays in contact.”

The doting mom is a force to be reckoned with, getting together numerous other philanthropic celebrities, business leaders, influencers, entrepreneurs and community leaders for a motivational afternoon in Los Angeles today with her annual Women’s Empowerment (W.E.) Luncheon & Speakers Panel which features none other than our very own Patty Rodriguez!

“Women are amazing human beings and we make the world go round,” Eva shared. “And so to gather and to celebrate and honor and applaud and share each other, one of the goals is to connect each other and connect the dots,” she added of the event, where the goal is to also help spread awareness and change.

“We talk about women’s equality and equal pay and we’re like ‘It’s 2020 … there’s about to be parity’ — there’s not. There just isn’t gender equality," Eva concluded. "We get to talk about these issues of equality and … like, what are we all doing as a collective to break down those doors because something has got to change.”
