The Rapture Handled an Issue at Just Like Heaven Fest the Best Way Possible

While hip hop and pop have risen to the top of the music world as far as popularity is concerned there are those who still yearn for the days of guitar driven indie rock.

And their dreams came true over the weekend at the Just Like Heaven Festival outside of Los Angeles with a series of artists filling the bill that read like a who’s who of indie rock including the Aughts, MGMT, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Phoenix, Passion Pit and even Britney Spears’ producers Miike Snow and The Rapture, whose Friday set marked only their second show since they disbanded around 2011.

Their fiery performance lived up to the hype, but it wasn’t without its hiccups.

Their closing number "How Deep Is Your Love" had some major tech issues and they actually were forced to restart it, but frontman Luke Jenner took in stride, joking: “This is what happens when you haven’t played together in 7 years.”
