Earlier this year it looked all but certain that Kanye West was going to be announced as a Coachella headliner before he dropped out due to a disagreement over his stage design.
Well, after all that…Kanye is headed to Coachella, but in a very unique capacity.
Instead of the very last headlining spot of the night, he will be the very first show on Sunday morning of weekend two, Easter Sunday to be exact, for one of his Sunday Morning Services.
These are weekly gospel inspired performances that he’s been doing for the last few months.
Little else is known about the Coachella performance, other than that it’s scheduled for 9am, which is pretty early for festival-goers that have been partying all night.
But it’s also the first time a performance of this magnitude has gone down first thing at the festival, so if fans in attendance want to see a bit of history they better set their alarms.
Weekend one of Coachella kicks off next Friday.
