Why Jordan Peele Decided to Reboot 'The Twilight Zone'

Jordan Peele’s new movie Us just had the best opening weekend ever for an entirely original horror film and while his next project may not be a new idea, his voice and creativity should make it unique.

Jordan is hosting and executive producing a new version of the classic sci-fi anthology show, The Twilight Zone.

While he originally thought the show might be too big for a reboot, eventually he had a change of heart. Jordan explained at PaleyFest:

"One of the things we kept coming back to was the timing felt right because one of the sentences you hear often for the past couple of years is, ‘It feels like we’re living in the 'Twilight Zone.'"

Jordan adds that speaking to society through stories is one of, if not the most, powerful weapon against violence and hatred.

The Twilight Zone premieres on CBS All Access on April Fool’s Day.
