Taylor Swift's Incredible Advice About Failing for 20-Somethings

Taylor Swift will leave her 20s behind her when she turns 30 on December 13th and to mark the occasion she has penned a revealing new essay for Elle, 30 Things I Learned Before Turning 30.

The wide ranging tidbits of advice cover everything from dating habits to self-love to the best way to hang art, but one of the most meaningful is lesson three, "Trying and failing and trying again and failing again is normal."

She writes, "It may not feel normal to me because all of my trials and failures are blown out of proportion and turned into a spectator sport by tabloid takedown culture. But that said, it’s good to mess up and learn from it and take risks. It’s especially good to do this in your twenties because we are searching. That’s good. We’ll always be searching but never as intensely as when our brains are still developing at such a rapid pace."
