History-Making Rams Cheerleaders Reflect on Journey to the Big Game

The Los Angeles Rams cheerleaders are making history! Quinton Peron and Napolean Jinnies will make NFL history being the first-ever males to perform at the big game. Quinton, along with teammates Emily and Sarah stopped by On Air With Ryan Seacrest on Monday, January 28, and celebrated the accomplishment.

“I think were just filled with pure joy,” Sarah shared. “It’s been such a journey and we’ve all worked so hard — the players, the coaches, the staff. It’s just been an incredible journey so we’re just filled with excitement and joy.”

For Quinton and fellow male teammate Napolean Jinnies, they’re also making history.

“It means the world to me,” Quinton shared. “I feel like me and Napoleon jumped into this journey kind of eyes closed, didn’t know what to expect, and all of a sudden then next thing you know we're headed to the Super Bowl.”

Quinton added that they never sought out to make the big game.

“I didn’t [think about going to the Super Bowl],” he reflected. “I just wanted to dance with my friends, we just took it game-by-game.”

“I feel like just tradition,” he continued when asked why the NFL didn’t have male cheerleaders until now. “I think some teams set the standard of ‘this is what looks good’ and I think everybody kind of followed that until the Rams took a chance.”
