It’s been reported that Ariana Grande replaced Kanye West at the last minute to headline Coachella.
She is joining Tame Impala and Childish Gambino after a conflict arose between Kanye and the festival’s promoters over a stage design and now more details have emerged.
According to Billboard, Kanye’s last minute vision was to have a gigantic dome constructed in the middle of the festival grounds exclusively for his performance.
While they appreciated his vision, Kanye’s design would require producers to remove a large section of port-o-potties and rearrange the entire festival site.
After the call ended abruptly, organizers called super manager Scooter Braun and the festival booked his client Ariana Grande less than 24 hours later.
Weekend 1 of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival kicks off April 12th in Indio, California.
