It has been another remarkable year for music, but which artists took the biggest slice of the pie in 2018 to end the year as the most popular?
iHeartRadio has determined that by looking at who got the most plays on radio nationwide combined with streaming totals on the app in what we’re calling iHeartRadio’s United States of Music 2018.
Drake ends the year at No. 3, thanks to his album Scorpion. While Ed Sheeran remarkably managed to take No. 2, even though his last album Divide came out back in March of 2017.
Ed was actually at No. 1 for a large part of the year, but the top artist snatched the title from him and never looked back, Post Malone, due in large part to the 3.8 billion streams he amassed.
