Hidden inside the video for Ariana Grande's "thank u, next" is the title of her next single, "7 Rings."
It’s a song that was born out of what started as a horrible day while she was still reeling from her breakup with Pete Davidson.
After a fan asked her about the song’s backstory on Twitter Ariana confessed:
"well ............. ‘twas a pretty rough day in nyc. my friends took me to tiffany’s. we had too much champagne. i bought us all rings. it was very insane and funny. & on the way back to the stu njomza was like ‘b*tch, this gotta be a song lol’. so we wrote it that afternoon."
Ari also confirmed the instrumental at the beginning of the "thank u, next" video is a snippet of "7 Rings."
