Tyra Banks stars in the new movie Life-Size 2 returning to play Eve, the doll who comes to life.
And her iconic song "Be a Star" is back as well with a remixed trap version called "Be a Star 2."
What a lot of people don’t know is that it’s actually Tyra singing on it.
But this wasn’t something she did just for the movie. Tyra actually had serious ambitions of becoming a popstar and even had Britney Spears’ manager.
“I spent six years doing it behind-the-scenes, but I would freak out in the studio," she explains. "I would be fine. I auditioned for Pharrell on the phone, he’s like ‘Sing something.’ So I sang a Brandy song, he’s like ‘Aw dang, you can sing.’ Then I get in the studio and I kept seeing him through the glass and I’m like, ‘It’s Pharrell, it’s Pharrell, it’s Pharrell.’ So I’d always freak out.”
Life-Size 2 premieres on Freeform on Sunday at 9/8c.
