has produced some of the most memorable songs of several of the biggest artists of this millennium from Amy Winehouse to Bruno Mars to Lady Gaga.
In a recent roundtable hosted by the Hollywood Reporter he admitted those great tracks are often born out of an artist’s struggles, which can be conflicting for a producer.
"Life will always find a way to deal you a s**t hand now and then. That's the good thing - the well won't run dry," he explains. "I get to sort of tap into their well of giant emotion for a little while. And sometimes it's not even fair because I'm going along for the ride on their horrible, tragic life experiences."
