You Won’t Believe Who the Nifflers in 'Fantastic Beasts' Are Based On

Eddie Redmayne is back starring in the second installment of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

And if you love Nifflers, those adorable, mole-like creatures from the first movie you will be happy to know they back in the new film.

But you will also get introduced to baby Nifflers, which are partially inspired by another adorable creature, Eddie’s 2-year-old daughter Iris.

Eddie tells People: "My brother’s obsessed with getting dressed up at Christmas, or New Year actually, and so he decided that Fantastic Beasts was going to be the dress code. So we got Iris dressed up as a Niffler — then a baby Niffler — and the way she behaved as a Niffler was very inspiring in the next film when we actually had the baby Nifflers. She’s running around, causing chaos, and so, I felt like I got really method on the baby Nifflers."

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is out today.
