Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel’s love story is so relatable it makes us love them even more. The couple, who tied the knot in 2012, were slow to ignite their romance. The “Say Something” singer details their love story in his new memoir, Hindsight: & All the Things I Can’t See in Front of Me, and shares that when they first met, they didn’t immediately date.
"I made some sort of sarcastic comment, really dry. Nobody got it except her," he writes in the book, recalling when they met. "She laughed, and I noticed, all of a sudden, and in the way where you wonder if a person’s like you, if they have a very dry, dark sense of humor, too."
The duo ended up talking all night, but he didn’t get her phone number and regretted it.
After the duo finally exchanged numbers, they talked on the phone for two weeks while Timberlake finished his tour. “When I came back from my tour, we spent a month together,” he details. “After that, I said, ‘I really want to be exclusive.’ And somehow, she said, ‘So do I.’”
Flash-forward to December 2011 and the duo got engaged and tied the knot in Italy on October 19, 2012. In April 2015, they welcomed their first child, son Silas.
Timberlake adds in the book that Jessica broke the pregnancy news to him via FaceTime.
"She answered with this look on her face, and I knew exactly what she was going to say,” he writes. “Instead, she just held up the pregnancy test, and we both started bawling. I ended the tour early so I could be at home and take care of my family."
