Bradley Cooper’s portrayal of an aging rocker in A Star Is Born is being praised for its authenticity and that’s partially because Bradley actually spent a week immersing himself in the life of legendary Pearl Jam frontman, Eddie Vedder.
Bradley told Yahoo! Entertainment: “I went up to Seattle and spent four or five days with him and I asked him 9,000 questions. And he gave me minor, little things that only musicians know about what to do, just aesthetically and the inner workings.”
But Eddie initially questioned the decision to remake A Star Is Born. "He thought it was crazy I was going to do this movie," Bradley added. "He was like, 'What? Bro, don't do that.'”
Eventually Eddie got on board and even helped write the songs Bradley sings in the movie.
A Star Is Born is out October 5th.
