We are beyond impressed! 7-year-old Malea Emma Tjandrawidjaja went viral over the weekend after she perfectly belted out the National Anthem at the Los Angeles Galaxy game on Sunday, September 23. The powerful singer, who was described as "tiny, buy mighty," wowed the world as she belted out the lyrics in an LA Galaxy jersey almost as big as she is before more than 25,000 fans at StubHub Center in Los Angeles and Ryan had to connect with her.
“I was really nervous, but I just continued what I was supposed to do and it went away,” the adorable 7-year-old told Ryan Seacrest on-air on Tuesday, September 25, sharing that she practiced a lot to not forget the lyrics.
“I like to sing Christina Aguilera songs and I also like singing Jennifer Holliday songs,” Malea added when Ryan asked who inspires her.
The tiny but soulful kid then impressed us all by giving us a sample of Christina Aguilera’s “Fighter" on the fly. (Listen to the audio below it to hear!)
“I want to grow up to be a singer and actress and doctor and pianist and violinist and I also want to sing with Christina Aguilera,” she concluded of her dreams, revealing to Ryan that her father helped get her in getting her singing lessons at a young age.
“I started singing when I was 1 — even before I could talk,” she adorably concluded. “When I was three my dad started putting me in singing lessons.”
I mean, does it get any cuter?
Ryan is also now trying to connect Malea with Xtina so stay tuned and listen back to the seriously impressive audio above as well as Malea's original performance at the Galaxy game.
