When Taylor Swift released her edgy lead single "Look What You Made Me Do" off her Reputation album fans assumed the rest of the record would be just as dark, but it wasn’t.
Taylor just admitted at an intimate show in Chicago that was kind of the point. She told the crowd:
"We did of a bit of a bait-and-switch when we put out 'Look What You Made Me Do,’ which suggested the album would be one thing. But when the album came out it's legitimately about finding love throughout all the noise. If you can find something real in spite of a bad reputation then isn't that what matters most?"
Her single "Delicate" is out now.
