The iHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards went down over the weekend in Toronto and Shawn Mendes definitely made his hometown proud.
He was able to convert half of his 8 nominations into wins taking home trophies for Best Pop Artist, Artist of the Year, and two socially voted categories Fan Favorite Artist and Video.
Besides scoring more awards than any other nominee he opened and closed the show with performances of "In My Blood" and "Lost In Japan."
Also, he faked out the audience by accepting a trophy on Marshmello’s behalf, while dressed in the DJ’s signature helmet and outfit.
Shawn’s self-titled album is out now.
