Oops! Chrissy Teigen’s social is the gift that keeps on giving. While on vacation in Bali, the cookbook author shared on Instagram a video of her holding a giant wasp-looking bug while talking to her 2-year-old daughter.
“What is this, Luna?” Teigen asks Luna in the video. “A bug!” she responds.
“Is he a nice bug?” Teigen continues. “Yes!” adorable Luna exclaims.
“Do you want to give him a kiss?” Teigen then asks.
She then captioned the whole video: “I swear to god if one of you tells me this is a deadly bug I will vomit.”
time for another game of “what’s this bug!?”! pic.twitter.com/hwCAPLB2vv— christine teigen (@chrissyteigen) July 26, 2018
Turns out, of course, the bug isn’t the nicest 😂 Her followers were quick to ID the bug, revealing it is most likely a tarantula hawk aka a species of spider wasps.
According to the U.K.’s Natural History Museum, the tarantula hawk can dish out “the most painful wasp sting in the world.” One entomologist has previously recommended humans who get stung by one “just lie down and start screaming.”
Someone then edited the bug’s Wikipedia page to include Chrissy and Luna.
“You guys suck” she jokingly captioned a screenshot of the Wiki page.
