Jeremy Renner has played Hawkeye in several Marvel movies, which obviously call for some pretty dangerous stunts. But it wasn’t until his new comedy Tag about a group of grown men playing a 3-decade-long game of "You’re it" where Jeremy went down performing a stunt and went down hard.
He broke both his arms on camera falling 20 feet from a stack of chairs and he has no interest in reliving the moment, telling USA Today:
"After production, they said, ‘Hey, do you want to actually see the fall?’ And I’m like, ‘Uh, no. I’m good.’ I have that attitude of you fall down seven times and you stand up eight. I don’t know about 20 feet seven times. It was just one time I had to do that."
For the record, Jeremy didn’t stop shooting after the injury. They just put on green casts and CG’d his arms on in post production.
Tag is in theaters today.
