Ariana Grande graces the cover of The Fader’s summer music issue and for good reason, as her album Sweetener is due late in the season and may be the most anticipated release of 2018.
Inside she admits that the attack at her concert in Manchester still weighs heavily on her.
And while it has heavily impacted the album, she also will continue to make the kind of songs she loves, explaining:
"Now it’s like, ‘OK … issa bop — but issa message. Issa bop but also has chunks of my soul in it. Here you go. Also, I cried 10 hundred times in the session writing it for you. Here is my bleeding heart, and here is a trap beat behind it.’ There’s definitely some crying-on-the-dancefloor stuff on this one."
We can’t wait to hear the full album, but in the meantime her single "No Tears Left to Cry" is out now.
