Sting and Shaggy are both unquestionably super stars in their given genres, but their new collaborative album seemed like an unlikely pairing for a full length project for a lot of fans.
And actually for the two of them as well, at first.
Shaggy explained to Jimmy Fallon it all began to with the plan to only have Sting sing on one song, "Don’t Make Me Wait" for Shaggy’s solo album.
He adds: "He walked into the studio singing the hook and the minute I joined in we realized our voices really blended and it was instantly so much fun."
"Don’t Make Me Wait" ended up being the lead single on their joint album 44/876, which is out now.
