They’re baaack! Michelle Williams phoned into On Air With Ryan Seacrest on Monday, April 23, fresh off her Destiny’s Child reunion with Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland at Coachella and teased there will be more reunions in the future.
“Coachella was fun and so who knows you could see us again,” Michelle, who hit the stage with headliner Bey both weekends in Indio, California, on April 14 and 21, told Ryan. “I told the girls let me get married and pop out some babies … and that post-baby workout plan will be us in rehearsals.”
Michelle recently got engaged to boyfriend of over a year, Chad Johnson. The songstress announced the happy news via Instagram, revealing Chad, a pastor and pro sports chaplain, popped the question on March 21.
The trio, who last reunited during Bey’s halftime performance at Super Bowl XLVII in 2013, decided on returning to the stage at Coachella after Beyoncé hit them up over the phone.
“She called. We are all in communication all the time. I just thought she was calling to see what’s up,” Michelle shared. “[She was like] 'I already talked to Kelly and I’m gonna do Coachella and I was wondering if y’all want to come out?'”
Michelle added that it’s a “no brainer” when it comes to keeping their reunions under wraps.
“We love getting back together,” she added. “We turn into those teammate girls again ... it's so safe to be with each other."
Aside from a wedding to plan, Michelle is also busy working on her home decor line, Believe at Home by Michelle Williams.
“I wanted to branch outside of music so three years ago I launched a home decor line,” Michelle said, adding that her grandmother and mother inspired the creation of the line.
