Watch Lorde Cover Kanye West Classics At Her Chicago Show

Lorde knew just how to appease the city of Chicago during the latest stop of her "Melodrama World Tour" on Tuesday night (March 27) and it involved some classic Kanye West tracks that had the crowd roaring with cheers.

In the middle of her 18-song set, the 21-year-old pop star started off with an a capella version of "Love Lockdown," before continuing on with a small snippet of "Runaway," which was effortless mashed up with her own ballad, "Liability." She also decided to give the hip-hop heavyweight a shout-out, reportedly telling the Chi-Town crowd, "It must be nice to come from the same place as Kanye West." Covers have been a staple at each of her shows, with her mostly covering Frank Ocean's "Solo" during each of her stops. However, similarly to Yeezy, Lorde tailored her Minneapolis stop to include a rendition of Prince's "I Would Die 4 U."

Despite kicking off the international legs of the shows last fall, the New Zealand pop star recently jumpstarted the North American portion of the trek in early March. Next up for the singer is her Wednesday night show in Detroit followed by a string of consecutive sets over the next few days. Head over to her official website for more information on Lorde's "Melodrama World Tour."
