Many people got boxes of chocolates and candies for Valentine’s Day yesterday, but Ellie Goulding fans got something even sweeter: a new song.
It’s been two years since her album Delirium and fans had been growing restless waiting for new material.
So she decided to hold them over with a beautiful acoustic cover of Don McLean’s 1971 song “Vincent” about Vincent Van Gogh.
Take a listen:
Upon releasing it Ellie tweeted: "My album isn’t ready yet, but for the best fans in the world, here’s my offering for Valentine’s Day."
My album isn’t ready yet, but for the best fans in the world, here’s my offering for Valentines Day, a tribute to Don McLean who wrote this heartbreakingly beautiful and poignant ode to Vincent Van Gogh.
