Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran shared a behind-the-scenes look at their “End Game” music video, but we’re obsessing over a certain moment when they candidly talk about Ed’s new fiancée Cherry Seaborn.
In the song, Ed raps “After the storm, something was born on the Fourth of July” a direct reference to when he reconnected with childhood friend and now future wife Cherry at Taylor’s Fourth of July bash.
“I wanna talk about the Fourth of July line because that makes me really happy,” Swift tells Sheeran in the behind-the-scenes clip.
“Well, you see, it’s kind of a play on words — well, not really a play on words. There’s a film with Tom Cruise called Born on the Fourth of July. My relationship started on the Fourth of July,” Ed explains.
“At whose house?” Swift hilariously responds.
“At Taylor’s house,” Sheeran continues. “So the story was, I was at Taylor’s party, and then a girl I went to school with who’s pretty cool ended up being in Rhode Island… I was like, ‘Taylor, can she turn up?’ And here we are.”
“Ugh, she is the coolest,” Swift confirmed of Cherry.
Ed previously told People magazine that he first started dating Cherry after Taylor’s annual bash. The “Look What You Made Me Do” songstress hilariously celebrated the couple a year later — along with her best friend’s marriage — with a banner she posted on Instagram last year.
“Remember the sign that I made for your first anniversary?” Swift asks Sheeran in the above video.
“‘Happy Anniversa-Cherry?'” Ed recalls.
“‘Happy Ed-iver-Cherry’!” Swift corrects him. “I’m still excited about it. It took me so long to think of both of your names…”
