If you listen to the show every morning then you’re well aware that Tanya Rad has a slight (OK, major) crush on football pro turned baseball player Tim Tebow. After weeks of trying to drop hints on-air, we finally got to connect with Tim live On Air With Ryan Seacrest on Thursday, February 8, and Ryan pulled through being the perfect wingman.
Tim is throwing his foundation’s unforgettable "Night to Shine" prom for people with special needs ages 14 and older on Friday, February 9, and called into the show to promote the amazing event. The worldwide party will consist of 537 proms taking place at the same time in 16 countries.
“We will crown every single one of them as a king and queen so there will be a little over 100,000 kings and queens and a little over 200,000 volunteers that are helping make this happen and it’s truly my favorite night of the year,” Tim shared while chatting with Ryan. “What’s also special is it’s not just for high schoolers … I will have people with special needs that are 50, 60, 70 years of age that will be coming and it’s the first thing they’ve ever been celebrated in their entire life and that’s really what we want to do. We want to celebrate them. We want to love them and let them know they’re important and they’re not an accident, but they’re special and they’re unique and we love them that way and it’s truly a night they can shine.”
Tim added that he’s going to try to attend as many of the proms as possible, including "Night to Shine" in L.A.
This is where our girl Tanya came in. Tanya is attending the L.A. prom and Ryan, being the perfect wingman, slyly dropped hints for them to meet.
“I love it! That sounds fantastic — let’s go,” Tim said after Ryan informed him that Tanya will be in attendance. “Sweet, thank you so much for being a part of it. … Maybe we will see you tomorrow night.”

Tanya, being a cool cucumber, responded: “Sounds good, can’t wait.”
She — along with Ryan, Sisanie and the rest of the studio — freaked out after Tim hung up.
"Was I cool?!" she hilariously asked Ryan after. "OK, I was trying so hard. Wait, do you really think so?”
