Ryan Shares the One Show You Need to Binge Watch This Weekend

It’s not a weekend unless you Netflix and chill. Everybody Loves Raymond creator Phil Rosenthal called into On Air With Ryan Seacrest on Friday, February 2, and bonded with Ryan over his new travel documentary series Somebody Feed Phil

The show, which dropped on January 12, revolves around Phil traveling the globe to take in the local cuisine and culture of exotic places including Bangkok, Lisbon, Mexico City and more.

Before hopping on the phone, Ryan confessed that his TV knows that he likes “to watch food shows” and that he stumbled upon the new series while scrolling through Netflix.

“I start to watch it and I realize I know Phil,” Ryan continued, before joining Phil on the line.

While Michelin-starred restaurant, street vendor and food truck-lovers will devour the series and the savory bites that Phil explores, the producer-turned-foodie added that he hopes the show will also inspire people to broaden their horizons.

“I want to get [people] to travel,” Phil shared with Ryan. “There’s no better thing we can do with our money … if you have any extra money, save it for traveling. Did you know two-thirds of Americans don’t have a passport?”

Watch the trailer above to get a sneak peek and binge watch the entire series on Netflix now. Listen to Phil’s full interview above with Ryan to find out why Libson was his favorite spot to visit and more.
