Ever walked by someone’s leftover room service tray in a hotel hallway and contemplated taking a lil nibble? Well, James Corden has no shame and hilariously admitted to Ryan during a chat on-air on Thursday, January 25, that he’s been known to take a bread roll or two.
James called into On Air With Ryan Seacrest to discuss the 60th Annual Grammys on Sunday and started chatting about food when Tanya Rad shared that she’s seen him at their local Whole Foods.
“I'm at my happiest when I’m around food,” James joked. “That’s really my happy place. The good thing about that Whole Foods is they don’t mind if you eat as you go around.”
This is where room service got brought up.
“I remember the first time … I stayed in a hotel on my own, I got back quite late, I was walking down — you know when people leave their tray of room service outside the room? — it was the first time I ever realized that people leave food,” James told Ryan. “That they don’t eat it all. It was first time that it had crossed my mind. I’d never seen that before.”
He hilariously continued: “I’ve eaten more bread rolls of other people’s. I’ve done like a half a fry. I even sometimes sit out in the corridor just to watch what people have ordered so I can work out [what I’ll try].”
Listen back to their LOL-worthy conversation above. The Grammys will be broadcast live on CBS from 7:30 to 11 p.m. ET. The show will also be live-streamed on CBS’ website via the network’s All-Access subscription service.
