Chris Harrison Reveals What Arie Told Him Off-Camera About Bekah M., 22

If you watch The Bachelor, then you likely spent your Tuesday talking about when bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr. found out contestant Bekah M.’s age during Monday’s January 21 episode. If you missed it, Bekah M. shocked Arie when she revealed that she’s only 22-years-old. Host Chris Harrison called into On Air With Ryan Seacrest on Tuesday and dished to Ryan that yes, Arie was at first hesitant about their 14-year age gap and wanted to eliminate the nanny.

“It’s one of those situations where maybe deep down you know isn’t right and, more importantly, people aren’t going to perceive her as right for you, but when you’re alone with her and it’s just you two, there’s that chemistry there and there’s something between Bekah and Arie that’s undeniable when they’re together,” Chris revealed. “I talked to him off-camera about this because it drove him crazy. He wanted to dislike her and get rid of her. He knew she was young, but he didn’t know she was 22 until last night. It scares the hell out of him and he doesn’t love the perception of it, but here’s the social issue — there’s nothing wrong with it and he really likes this girl.”

Only time will tell if Arie and Bekah go the distance, but she surely has competition. Another fan favorite from last night’s episode is Sienne, Chris continued. The 27-year-old commercial real estate manager scored a one-on-one date with Arie in Lake Tahoe during Monday's episode and became a fan-favorite, but there’s an issue.

“Arie almost feels like he doesn’t deserve her, like she’s too smart, she’s too good,” Chris dished to Ryan. “He actually gets insecure around her … cause he has this vulnerability and insecurity. He’s a very humble guy, believe it or not. So Sienne kind of pushes those buttons, but after last night she cemented herself as a huge frontrunner.”
