Disney is reviving Bug Juice, the ‘90s reality series that revolved around 20 kids and their experiences at summer camp.
“Bug Juice took viewers on a journey of adventure and self-discovery,” Susette Hsiung, executive vice president of production at Disney Channels Worldwide, said in a statement on Friday, August 4. “Now, nearly two decades later, we are thrilled to be back in Maine at Camp Waziyatah with the creative team from Evolution Media and many of the same crew members who produced the original series.”
Season 1 of the hit docuseries premiered in 1998 and took place at Camp Waziyatah. The second season filmed at Camp Highlander in Horse Shoe, North Carolina and the third season of the original series was held at Brush Ranch Camp in Tererro, New Mexico.
Production of the relaunch is currently underway in Waterford, Maine, and is scheduled to premiere in early 2018 and we are officially excited.
