Hailey Baldwin already has a household name (she is the daughter and niece of actors Stephen and Alec Baldwin, respectively) but when it comes to making a name for herself she's just getting started.
The 20-year-old model, who has appeared in Vogue and walked the runway for some of the world's top fashion designers, told On Air With Ryan that her work has really taken off in the last year, keeping her busy with travel and appearances. However, her career almost went in a very different direction.
“I was dancing ballet quite heavily, for 12 years," she explained. "I made the decision I was either going to move away and start studying with a company, or I was gonna try the modeling thing and hope it worked out… So I think I made the right choice at this point.”
That conclusion is hard to argue considering Hailey was just awarded the 2017 cover of Maxim's Hot 100 list, among the youngest ever to receive the distinction. On top of that, she was recently tapped to co-host James Corden's rap battle show Drop the Mic alongside Method Man.
The show originated as a segment on The Late Late Show, featuring celebrity guests in a rap battle against each other and/or Corden, and will feature Hailey as emcee. She said working alongside Corden has been "the best ever."
"It's epic. He's the best boss, he's so nice and funny," Hailey gushed. "It was all jokes and making everyone comfortable. It really was a great time and I'm very excited to get back to filming it."
Drop The Mic is set to debut this fall on TBS. In the meantime, you can see Hailey on this months' cover of Maxim.
