Rascal Flatts took to the iHeartCountry Festival stage and doused Austin's Frank Erwin Center with a nostalgic opening performance of their smash hit, "Life Is A Highway," on Saturday night.
Lead singer Gary LeVox traveled the pyro-bedecked stage and held out the microphone during the feel-good chorus, warranting an infectious sing along from the sold-out crowd. The country-pop trio followed up with a performance of 2014's "I Like the Sound of That," before slowing things down with their tender ballad "What Hurts The Most" from 2006's Me and My Gang.
Flatts concluded their set with a live rendition of their latest single "Yours If You Want It," which is lifted from their forthcoming tenth studio album, Back To Us, set for release on May 15. After their performance of the track -- a poignant tune about seizing the day -- the group set off a confetti explosion to mark their grand exit.
The iHeartCountry Fest, a music experience presented by AT&T, opened with a Daytime Village pre-show that saw performances by Lindsay Ell, Kane Brown, Tucker Beathard, Chris Janson, Jon Pardi, and Kip Moore. On the main stage, country superstars including Jason Aldean, Little Big Town, Kelsea Ballerini, and Lady Antebellum performed a slew of their hits. Host Bobby Bones also joined the bill with his band The Raging Idiots and performed the Golden Girls theme song and a surprise collaboration of "Buy Me A Boat" with Chris Janson.
You can re-live the iHeartCountry Festival during the special TV broadcast on May 19 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Audience via DIRECTV channel 239, DIRECTV NOW, or U-verse channel 1114.
