Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are reportedly on speaking terms again after deciding to work out their divorce and custody negotiations with a private judge.
According to People, the pair, who separated in September 2016, are talking to each other directly after months of heated battles via court documents. "He’s much happier," a source whispered to the magazine. "He’s very relieved that things are not playing out in public anymore. It was a rough time, but they were able to resolve it. This is a work in progress."
Pitt also commended Jolie for being a good mother to their six children: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne. The actress echoed similar sentiments on Pitt's "wonderful" parenting during an interview with ABC in February.
“He’s always been extremely positive about how Angie’s a good mother, and the goal was to resolve everything for the kids and the whole family, and they’re working toward that,” the source added.
Another Pitt insider told People:"He is spending more time with the kids when they are in L.A. He has even spent some time with Maddox and Pax. Things are definitely calming down."
Jolie and Pitt have been together since 2004 and married in August 2014.
