Natalie Portman Welcomes Baby Girl Amalia

Natalie Portman and her husband Benjamin Millepied welcomed their second child together, a baby girl named Amalia, on Wednesday, February 22, according to E! News and People magazine.

Portman did not attend the Independent Spirit Awards or the 2017 Academy Awards due to the birth of her daughter. In a statement she released to E! News hours before the Spirit Awards, she said, "I feel so lucky to be honored among my fellow nominees and wish them the most beautiful of weekends."

Portman and Millepied met when he choreographed her routine in 2010's Black Swan. They married in 2012 in Big Sur, California and are already parents to their 5-year-old Aleph.
