Ed Sheeran hits the gym and channels his inner Rocky Balboa for the newly-released "Shape of You" music video, which was shot in Seattle and helmed by Jason Koenig.
The visual opens with Sheeran as an aspiring boxer hitting a punching bag, sprinting alongside a freight train, flipping tires, pushing weights, and working on his footwork with a romantic workout partner, played by Fresh Pair actress Jennie Pegouskie. The comical ending finds Sheeran in an inflatable fat suit for a showdown with a sumo wrestler, who annihilates the singer in the ring.
Sheeran unveiled "Shape of You" alongside his coming-of-age, arena-pop single "Castle On the Hill." Both songs -- off his forthcoming ÷ (Divide) album, out on March via Atlantic Records -- debuted on the Billboard Hot 100, making him the first artist to ever enter the Billboard short list with two cuts simultaneously.
He is expected to perform both singles on Saturday Night Live on February 11.
