King Charles Recalls Intimate Details Of Mom Queen Elizabeth's Final Days

King Charles III recently shared tidbits of his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II's passing, revealing that she spent her very last moments on Earth in "the most beloved of places."

According to People, the British royal addressed the Scottish Parliament on its 25th anniversary on Sunday (September 29) alongside his bride, Queen Camilla, sharing why his late mother chose to enjoy the limited time she had left in Scotland.

"My late mother especially treasured the time spent at Balmoral, and it was there, in the most beloved of places, where she chose to spend her final days."

The 75-year-old King actually has close Scottish relatives, explaining in a previous speech that his "beloved grandmother was proudly Scottish," and that Scotland "always had a uniquely special place in the hearts of my family and myself."

In fact, the country is so special to the royal family that Queen Elizabeth not only chose to spend her final days there, but her final minutes, passing away at Balmoral Castle in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, in September 2022.

People mentioned that King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, and Kate Middleton all visited Crathie, Scotland, on September 8th of this year to attend a church service on the second anniversary of Queen Elizabeth's death.

King Charles announced that he was battling cancer in February of 2024 and has since shared updates regarding his diagnosis, but has never unveiled the exact form of cancer that plagues him.

In May, the beloved royal divulged that he lost his sense of taste as an unfortunate side effect of chemotherapy, and in August, told the people of Southport, England, that he wasn't doing "too bad."
