Reagan Mills Shares How He Overcame Nerves to Audition on 'American Idol'

Would you be nervous to perform in front of judges Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan and Katy Perry? American Idol contestant Reagan Mills chatted with Ryan Seacrest and shared he overcame his anxiety by pretending the panel were his family.

"I really tried to psych myself up," Mills shared. "I tried to relate them like they're my family, my cousins and uncle and aunts so I could be calm enough."

The Texas-born singer, who auditioned with an Adele track, was told by the judges he needed 5% more "grit."

So, how did he feel about that?
