Dating in 2024? Here are the top trends to look out for according to popular dating app Bumble:
Cross-Gen romance:
Singles are more open to dating quite a bit older or quite a bit younger. Age isn't a defining factor anymore, and 59% of women say they're now more open to dating someone younger than them.
Stop the self-improvement trap:
Especially in the U.S., there's a sense that we always need to better ourselves. Instead…the trend is now the opposite…to be happy with who you are now — people want to date people who won't try to change them.
Emotional intimacy is key:
A focus on dating someone who is in tune with their mental health and goes to therapy and values self-care.
Sharing sports interests:
Is still top of the list too. Maybe we have Taylor Swift to thank for that! Seems like singles want their own Taylor and Travis Kelce story.
Relationship Timeline Decline:
The rejection of "traditional" monogamous relationships and expectations will continue in 2024 . Women especially say they're no longer focused on traditional timelines and milestones, and want to only date people who have the same perspective .
