We’ve talked before about “The Eras Tour” and how it is literally helping the US economy… but the Washington Post dug deeper into the numbers. We are witnessing history… and this is without question the biggest tour of all time.
· First of all, if Taylor Swift takes the standard artist’s share of a tour’s revenue, she will earn about $4 billion from this tour. Don't forget she gave out $55 million in bonuses to the Eras Tour workers (dancers, sound techs and caterers) recently.
· All in all, it’s been a $5.7 billion boost to the nation’s economy. LA County specifically got a $320 million boost, which is enough revenue to create 3300 new jobs.
· The average Swiftie spent about $1300 on this tour (tickets, food, drinks, merch, outfits, travel, hotels and friendship bracelets).
· $3 million worth of friendship bracelets were sold on Etsy between April and August.
· Susie Cakes in Brentwood sold $50,000 worth of Taylor-themed cupcakes.
And it will be ramping up again soon…
November 9th, the next leg begins in Argentina.
