A safety hack is going viral on TikTok for women who live in apartments. Ryan Seacrest shared on-air a woman named Mary shared on TikTok that after a date or even just talking to strangers outside, wait to turn on your apartment unit lights...
Why? It will reveal which unit is yours.
Mary shared she noticed a guy lingering in front of her building who tried to have a conversation with her after she parked her car. When she got to her apartment unit, she saw him still standing outside looking at the building.
“Especially if people can see the windows of your apartment from the street,” she says in the video, if “someone’s following you home, they’re going to know what apartment you’re in.”
