Lizzo Releases New Single 'Rumors' With Cardi B: Watch The Music Video

Lizzo and Cardi B take aim at the gossip mill on their new single "Rumors."

On Friday (August 13), the pair dropped the upbeat track along with its corresponding music video, which finds Cardi and Lizzo embodying Greek goddesses while giving millennials major Hercules nostalgia.

For the duo's first-ever collaboration, they created an anthem dedicated to all the keyboard warriors, critics, and overall haters who've come at them with wild rumors over the years. While sarcastically singing that "all the rumors are true," the two take apart several Internet-fueled falsehoods.

"Spendin' all your time tryna break a woman down/ Realer shi* is goin' on, baby, take a look around/ If you thought that I was ratchet with my a** hangin' out/ Just wait until the summer when they let me out the house, b*tch," Lizzo sings on the chorus.

For the ancient Greece–inspired visual, Lizzo is shown dancing in a gold, toga-inspired dress as she's surrounded by statues, pottery, and the heavens. The video flashes between Lizzo, who's backed by her very own Hercules-inspired chorus of dancers, and Cardi, who's shown sitting atop a penis throne (yes, you read that right), wearing a loincloth and a golden breastplate.

"Rumors" marks Lizzo's first single since she released her third studio album, Cuz I Love You, in 2019.
