Sam Smith & Demi Lovato Announce New Collaboration 'I'm Ready'

Sam Smith and Demi Lovato are prepping the release of a brand-new collaboration appropriately titled "I'm Ready."

On Sunday (April 12), the pop peers announced the upcoming duet, which is due on Friday, with the cover art for the track featuring each star dressed as if they were competing in the Olympics. The accompanying music video was by Jora Frantzis and choreographed by Sean Bankhead. "YOU READY @ddlovato," Smith tweeted, to which she replied, "I'M READY," with a GIF of their initials. The two have previously shared kind words with one another, including Lovato's BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge cover of "Too Good at Goodbyes," and Smith's praise for the rendition.

In late March, Smith took to social media to reveal that they would be pushing back the May 1 release of their third album, To Die For. Additionally, they said that the title of the set would be changing. "I will be renaming my album and pushing back the release date — both of which are to be confirmed at this time," they wrote in an open letter. "Don't worry though, there will be an album this year, I promise! But until then I am still going to bring out some new music over the next few months, which I'm incredibly excited about."
