Why Lady Gaga Decided to Postpone 'Chromatica' Due to the Coronavirus

With so many tours, live events and movies being delayed due to the coronavirus it’s now also impacting album release dates including one of the most anticipated records of 2020, Lady Gaga’s Chromatica.

Gaga made the hard decision to hold back the music, which was originally slated to arrive April 10th. She said in a statement:

"This is such a hectic and scary time for all of us and while I believe art is one of the strongest things we have to provide joy and healing to each other during times like this it just doesn't feel right to me to release this album with all that is going on during this global pandemic."

Gaga also revealed she had a secret set planned for Coachella next month before it was postponed until October. She doesn’t know yet if she will still be making the appearance at the festival in the fall.

Her album will most likely be out by then.
