Sam Rubin Updates Seacrest While Stranded Abroad Due to COVID-19 Pandemic

Sam Rubin’s trip to Antartica took an unexpected turn. The KTLA anchor is stranded abroad in Uruguay due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We’ve been at sea for eight days but happily our wonderful friends in Uruguay, including the embassy, … has welcomed us back … so tomorrow we get to finally get off the ship and come home.”

Rubin prefaced that all the travelers are safe and no one has tested positive for Coronavirus. In fact, Antartica is the only continent in the world that’s currently COVID-19 free.
